What’s in your purse?

Which bag of choice do you choose to tote?
Whether it’s Gucci, Louis Vutton, Prada or Coach.
Fendi, Kohl’s, or Second Hand from the thrift
What we choose to carry inside could be a curse or a gift
We choose the one that goes with just about everything
Color coordinated with our dress with accessorized earrings
Whether it small and petite or big and bulky where the colors speak loud
They all hold value, we wear them well and us girls wear them proud
Red, Yellow,  Black, Green, Orange, Brown, or Blue
Whatever your style of handbag is representation of you.
Is your bag heavy with burden,  dragging on the floor with un-forgiveness filled with pain?
Left over  remnants of your x husband’s abusive inked penned stains
Perfume bottles spilling over to cover your foul actions of guilt and shame
The nail files use in a stabbing session, have you stabbed someone else in the back
Purell can’t sanitize the bacteria of your soul or the integrity that you have lacked
Tic tacs and nail polish mixed with lotions of sorrow, ruining the interior cloth
Your using Oxiclean, shout, and tide remover, but stains just wont come off
Still looking in the compact mirror of hinderance, not able to grow
Carrying  your positive vitamins but your negative thought process still has you moving slow
Have you kissed your best friend man with berry’s betrayal lip gloss
All the things you held dear to you have been taken away or lost
Not a safety-pin of hope, your worthless credit card can’t buy an ounce of trust
Your hearts eye shadows darkened from the friendship you lost for lust
Gave away the keys of your heart and he drove it off a bridge
So hurt, that your thoughts are so toxic and your unable to forgive
Whatever items you carry, that ten tons of hurt, that you can’t seem to let go this day
Is surely holding you captive and you can’t find your own way
You can switch your pocketbook’s look, carry band aids to patch a wound when your cut
Trying to keep yourself together with hairspray, Advil can’t cure the headache of your rut
No matter what you have done or whatever has been done to you
It time to ask for forgiveness from God, forgive them, and you… have to forgive you
Put your best foot forward, trust in God, take a giant step of FAITH
Holding on the past will leave you stagnant, even stuck for years in the same place
They have moved on, forgotten about it,  and your still have a wallet full of  MAD
Switching your clutch but still carry around the same burdensome bag
Out of everything we carry, the items that jingle, is the only way we can gain
In every women’s purse, the most important item to carry with you is CHANGE!
Do you have “CHANGE” in your purse? Then the time is now to use it
Offer it to God and give him your pain, and he will not refuse it.
Whether it’s pennies of pain, nickels of neglect, or quarters of sorrow
Weeping may endure for a night, but God promises your joy will come tomorrow.
Life is a lesson learned, a journey  for our growth, ask God to walk with you
Change will buy your freedom to blessings that you never knew.
Ladies…..Carry Change in the heart of your purse!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

I Have Valentines on the Daily

When I wake up in the morning, with open eyes, you’re the first thing that I see
A follow-up with a kiss, and your feet hit the floor as we start the day
A kind greeting escapes your lips as you say good morning to me
Anyway that you can be of help to me, your willing to make the way
Coffee is on the menu for me, maybe even breakfast if there is time
So grateful that you care for me, I try hard not to take you for granted
Carrying my bags, open the doors, warming the car, I’m so thankful that your mine.
I am mindful that I must water every seed of love that you have planted.
Warm wishes of god’s blessing as we part our separate way
Wishing to hear your voice, is my cell ringing , are you on the line?
Waiting to see you after eight hours too long of the working day
I know that you see me everyday, but can I see you lunchtime?
You’re an official gentleman, I made the right turn, I didn’t miss the sign.
Cupid had good aim, he didn’t miss because everyday with you is Valentines.
